Want to Make a Difference? Get Involved!
Our union is powered by the dedication of volunteers like you. Getting involved isn’t just about strengthening our collective bargaining power; it’s about building a stronger workplace for everyone. Your local chapter is the heart of our organization, and we’re always looking for enthusiastic members to contribute their time and talents.
How Can You Help?
There are many ways to get involved, regardless of your time commitment or skillset. Here are a few common opportunities:
- Member Outreach: Help us connect with and inform fellow supervisors about important union issues, contract updates, and upcoming events. This could involve phone banking, email campaigns, or simply talking to colleagues during breaks.
- Event Support: Assist with planning and executing local chapter events, such as meetings, workshops, or social gatherings.
- Communications Support: If you have writing or graphic design skills, help us create newsletters, flyers, or social media content.
- Grievance Support: Assist members with navigating the grievance process (training provided).
- Political Action: Help advocate for pro-worker legislation and support candidates who champion public employees.
- Committee Participation: Join one of our standing committees (see below for details).
